PIMACO was founded in 1956 by three young entrepreneurs: Wilde PInheiro, Orlando MAlheiros and João COelho. Located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the Company was originally dedicated to making print adhesive tapes.
By 1967, as the business grew, and new adhesive materials were developed, PIMACO had become a pioneer in the label printing business.
In 1972, the first “standardized” labels were produced and sold. PIMACO achieved wide distribution in stationery stores throughout Brazil. This moment represented the start of the relationship between the PIMACO brand and the domestic and office users, since its original products had only been sold to corporate customers.
In 1993, the first ink-jet laser labels were produced along with the first version of PIMACO Assistant Software, created specifically to help users design and print PIMACO Labels. The following years marked the launch of key product lines such as Pimatab, Speed Label and CDpply.
In 2006, BIC acquired PIMACO and began its expansion in the Latin American and European markets.
PIMACO is a leading designer and manufacturer of label and paper products, with a wide range of solutions for domestic, industry and office uses.
